So basically there are a lot of things we’ve been doing wrong when it comes to dressing as men, all because we feel, a man doesn’t need to take good care of himself or let’s just say, we are “I don’t care”.
The perception out there is that, it is a woman who needs to look good because she needs to attract men but that’s wrong, looking good doesn’t need to attract men, it gives you confidence and makes you feel good about yourself.
Men usually don’t pay attention to a lot of things when it comes to dressing but the little things you don’t pay attention to, are the things others use to judge you.
In 2018, we wish to change that and so here are 10 things men need to stop wearing before we step into the new year.
1. Worn Out Shoes Or Sneakers.
If you’re still wearing those shoes with a half sole or sneakers that look worn out and dirty, drop them before we hit 2018. Wearing those shoes doesn’t only ruin your dressing, it actually affects your health. Half soles, for instance, affect your joints and gives you backaches. Dirty or cracked sneakers allows bacteria in and it is the reason why you’ve probably been battling with foot rot all these years. If you want to change that, drop them before we hit 2018.
2. T-Shirts With Loose Sleeves.
Well in case you didn’t know, the “T” in T-shirt, means Tight and that’s what you are supposed to do. Wearing T-Shirts with loose sleeves defeat the purpose for which it was designed. The idea behind T-shirts is to give you a masculine appearance and so when you wear them with loose sleeves they don’t look good. Now, can you drop that in 2017 and get yourself some nice T-shirts that fit perfectly before we hit 2018?
3. Bell Bottom Jeans Or Trousers.
Now you should know that these type of trousers or jeans are outdated and so just because you found it in the second-hand clothing store doesn’t mean you should bring it home.
Why is it not good? Wearing such jeans or trousers only swallows up the type of shoes you’re wearing, taking away the beauty of the shoes or sneakers you’re wearing.
4. Wrinkled Suits.
Now that’s off the mark and you know it. Suits are supposed to look sharp and neat, not wrinkled and looking all messed up. In case you didn’t know, you can have your suits nicely blown at the laundry and it will come out looking crisp and neat.
5. Oversize Suits.
Come on, it’s 2017 and we’re heading into 2018, if you don’t know your suit size by now, then suits are not cut for you, stop wearing them.
A wrinkled suit is horrible but an oversize suit is worse, it makes you look like a matchstick in a box. And the worse part is when the arms are longer than your shirt. Suits are supposed to be tight on you, exposing your figure, not cover it up.
6. Sweaters or Pullovers With Lint Balls.
Just in case you don’t know what lint balls are, they are those cotton kind of balls that form on your sweater when it gets old or worn out.
Wearing such sweaters make you look unkempt and old. You can get yourself a new sweater or you get rid of the lint balls with a razor. We hope to see you in 2018, not wearing any of those.
7. Wearing Flip-Flops In Public.
Guys, this is not so cool, why wear a flip-flop to the mall? We are not talking about sandals here, we talking about plastic flip-flops, in plain words, “Charle Wote”. It is not cool and we don’t want to see that in public again in 2018.
8. Cargo Shorts.
Those shorts with heavy side-pockets are so outdated we don’t even know where to place them. You can wear them at home when you’re doing some chores or just relaxing in your parlour but in public, that’s a very bad idea and we hope we won’t see them in 2018. If you want to wear shorts, you can but make sure they are the types with slim pockets, it looks neat on you and not too baggy.
9. Outmoded Sunglasses.
You might not know this but it is not every sunglasses you see on the streets that is current. Some are as old as the days of Terminator. They are so old even if Arnold Schwarzenegger should see them, it’ll bring back memories of his days as a Terminator. When buying sunglasses, make sure you purchase the type that fits your face and not just because it is en vogue.
10. Too Much Fragrance.
Guys, this has to stop. Wearing too much fragrance is not good and it actually doesn’t make you smell good, it gives people a headache and they try as much as possible to avoid you, especially ladies.
